Forget Musk. Tesla doesn't need him, it can continue to run very well without him. The share price might be reflecting reality: Tesla's P/E ratio is 10 times (!!) worse than BMW's, for instance. This signals overpricing. The price of Tesla shares should be 4 times lower than they are. There's too much hype about the company and the cars. The EV market is just starting to grow.

If I had US$10,000 to invest now and was forced to choose between the two, I would put my money on the Germans. Five years from now, I bet both companies will be doing great... but my 10 grand will have grown more with BMW than with Tesla.
